The correct use of apple cider vinegar can have positive effects on health.
Its most well-known use is that it helps to regulate blood sugar levels. A study published in Diabetes Care that researched a group of men and women living with type 2 diabetes found that when participants took two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar prior to going to bed, they experienced lower blood sugar levels the following morning.
Another study of healthy adults found that after consuming less than an ounce of vinegar together with a carbohydrate, their glucose levels improved.
The positive effects of apple cider vinegar can also be seen in digestion. A study conducted on mice that had ulcerative colitis found that when acetic acid was added to the water they drank, the mice experienced an increased level of good bacteria in their intestines, reducing the symptoms of gastrointestinal conditions.
Provided the benefits mentioned above, the recommendation is to include this product as part of your daily eating habits. It is preferable, however, to not consume it directly or take in large amounts of it, as this can cause adverse effects.
