Getting answers to your oral healthcare questions is even more easy with the Dental Care Hotline.

Medical Advisor Johan Jurado – Dentist with the Dental Care Hotline.

The following are some of the most frequently asked questions members of the Dental Elite program ask when they call the Dental Care Hotline: What specialist should I see? What oral healthcare measures should I be aware of if I am receiving treatment for high blood pressure, diabetes or cancer? What is an implant?

On the other line is a team of dental experts that can answer each of these questions, providing guidance in a less technical way and using simple language. “Before, during and after an appointment, you can call this hotline to ask your dental healthcare questions in order to learn information that can make you feel more confident and at ease,” explains Dr. Johan Jurado, part of the team at Coomeva Private Healthcare’s Dental Care Hotline.

To access this private oral healthcare program – a service that combines healthcare benefits, prevention and aesthetics all in one place – the only requirement is to be an affiliate of a Health Promoting Entity (Empresa Prestadora de Salud, EPS).

Once you are affiliated you can request an appointment directly with the specialist that best meets your needs; one of the many conveniences, advantages and benefits of private healthcare that come with the peace of mind of this insurance.

Dozens of children brushed their teeth together all throughout the country for the third “Brushathon” which was held on October 25 for Nacional Toothbrush Day. Sponsored by the Alliance for a Cavity-Free Future, in which Coomeva Private Healthcare participates, the goal of this event is to create more awareness among children about the importance of oral hygiene and proper oral health for having a healthy smile.

In Cali, the capital of El Valle, about 900 children from the Comuna 20 participated in this event. Attending the event was “Dr. Molar,” who taught the children the best technique for this habit in a fun and playful way.

Findings from the 4th National Health Survey conducted by the Ministry of Health of Colombia indicate that 91.58% of people between ages 12 and 79 have had a cavity at some point in their life, and that 33.27% of children ages 1, 3 and 5 already have a medical history of this condition.
