Eating breakfast literally means ‘breaking the fast’. It is an important energy contribution to your body that can help it get ready to start the day.
It is advisable that a person devote 15 to 20 minutes a day to the habit of eating breakfast, giving themselves enough time to digest it properly.
“It is the first energy intake that the body needs in order to carry out its vital functions. A well-balanced breakfast will improve your appetite control and satiety, and reduce the consumption of unhealthy foods, “says nutritionist Briana Gomez.
Among the benefits of eating a balanced breakfast in your daily routine are weight control, an accelerated metabolism, improved intellectual and physical performance, and a better dental health. Ideally, your first meal of the day should include at least one food from the grains (cereals) group, one from the dairy group, and one from the fruit group. However, every person can balance their breakfast in accordance with their own tastes and needs.
Eating healthy and enough is the key to take on the day full of energy.
