Coomeva Emergency Medicine is always there for its members 24-hours a day.
You don’t have to be sick to access the services of Coomeva Emergency Medicine (CEM). In fact, this service is designed to help people who, like many, may be vulnerable to the different symptoms of a disease or who may experience an unexpected health problem. CEM is an at-home medical service that has more than 95,000 affiliates in Bogotá, Cali, Medellín, Barranquilla and Cartagena. For 2019, we seek to offer this service throughout the nation through virtual and in-person services in Santa Marta, Rionegro, Valledupar, Montería, Bucaramanga and Pereira, also providing medical care services to treat priority, urgent and emergency cases. “We are not an ambulance company, but if the medical services we provide requires being transported to a hospital, we also provide that service. Our objective is to save lives and provide wellbeing through our qualified staff,” states Gustavo Adolfo Ocampo Palacios, Manager of Coomeva Emergency Medicine.
Some of our additional services include emergency dental care, contract service agreements with specialty doctors, laboratories and pharmacies, a 24-hour 7-day a week hotline, and telephone assistance with nutritionists, psychologists and other specialists.
As Ocampo explains, “Coomeva Emergency Medicine is a service that all people should have. We often think that because we eat well and exercise, we don’t need this type of coverage and we prefer to buy a cell phone instead of signing up for a healthcare program, well aware that we are not exempt from getting sick.” Additionally, this service prevents patients from having to go to emergency rooms for symptoms that don’t merit the visit, providing patients with a better quality of life in the comfort of their home or wherever they want to receive their service.
215 thousand house visits are how many visits Coomeva Emergency Medicine makes a year.
97 % of cases are resolved at the point of care.
