Natural light affects your mood and is important for your health.  

A few minutes of sun each day influence your wellbeing. The recommendation given by the Costa del Sol Sanitary Agency  (Spain) is about 20 minutes, avoiding the sun’s most intense hours between 10:00am and 4:00pm. 

Also, moderate sunlight is good for the immune system and helps prevent diseases such as osteoporosis, rickets, and even multiple sclerosis, since it promotes the body’s production of vitamin D. On its website, the Mayo Clinic states that this vitamin is needed to maintain healthy bones.

In addition, on its website, the Estivill Sleep Clinic (in Spain) explains that natural light affects rest, as the perception of natural light in the morning helps regulate the circadian rhythm, the waking and sleeping cycle. It is also important for concentration at work and reducing stress. 

If you are at home you can make use of windows, balconies, or terraces to get some sun, in moderation, with adequate sunscreen (SPF 30 or more).
