Follow the following recommendations at the time of eating your meals of the day.
It is basic that the rations contain the nutrients the body so much needs for working during the day. The goal is to balance the diet without exceeding an average consumption of 2,000 calories per day in a healthy adult. Some recommendations for better understanding the portions or rations from some basic measurements of our hands.
A fistful: Is equal to 1 cup; 1 portion of carbohydrates.
Hands open and together: We recommend consuming what fits there in fruits and vegetables.
Finger: Is equal to 1 tablespoon. Useful for measuring, for example, the amount of oil.
Hand Palm: Is a round 3 ounces, equal to 1 portion of protein, such as fish or chicken.
Thumb: 1 tablespoon of peanut butter or of any other spreading product.
Semi close fist: is compared to 1 ounce, 1 portion of snacks such as peanuts or nuts.
